Vine Servers: Peapod
Peapod is among the rarest motifs in Vine pattern. The collection boasts a large number of serving pieces, including special, likely custom examples. The cold meat fork and pea server are forms often produced with Peapod design handles. As described below, seven of the serving pieces contain the monogram "GTVN" - including the same "GT" monogram as the 306-piece boxed set. The addition of the letters "VN" suggests that they may have been given to a family member. Of these, the fish set, the salad set, the ice spoon (see enlargement below), the asparagus fork, and the gravy ladle are serving forms appearing uniquely in the Peapod design.
For additional images of the servers and monogram, see the Peapod gallery in Images & Details.
